My two friends and I visit here every couple of months so we're hardly regular. But the staff are friendly and attentative the food is good but sometimes the standard drops and something has to be sent back or exchangedbut without hassle.(Hence 4☆) there is a good menu with vegetarian choices too. Nice range of deserts. Well stocked bar alcoholic and soft drinks. Its very poular so I advise you to book especially weekends.

Clean facilities, comfy bed with ample parking. The stay was only over shadowed by the people in the next room who couldn't control their child who was opening and slamming the door, stamping around and turning the tv up to full volume in the middle of the night.

Simply the nicest venue. We went for the tasting menu and they ably accommodated my wife's dislike of fish. On arrival we had a drink in the bar to await our table. Host could not have been more attentive. Canapes served before we went in. Meal was perfect and beautifully paced. Cannot fault and will definitely return

Basic room but adequate. Good Continental breakfast. Unfortunately there was a function on and the noise level was very bad, weather got so had to keep windows open. Drunken people playing football outside at 3am!

I feel bad giving this hotel only 3 stars but all things considered I think its fair. Positives - Location is great for the tube, service was great and the room was spacious. Negatives - The place is really dated, it is crying out for updated decor and some well needed maintenance. I was only staying for the night but at £109 a night I would expect better. All in all it served a purpose and I would probably stay there again but I am not fussy, if I was I would been very unhappy with the state of the rooms.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, rooms are very nice clean and TV and coffee making facilities, shower over the bath, nice view excellent food and atmosphere, I stayed two nights with my boyfriend and really recommend it

Been here three times and every time food and service was top notch. Really enjoyed their fish mains and Sunday Roast. Good for a romantic date but it is also family friendly.

Good service, nice garden, reasonably priced set menu during weekdays, 2 meals for £20 or 3 meals for £25 is good value too. The menu's tasty, range of nice beers, decent decor and clean toilets and indoors. Good local and for special occassions.

Seen some bad reviews of this place but we had no problems. Had a group of about 5 people, no delay to the food. Came out in a timely manner and everyone was happy. A family run pub, heard a lot of "mum can you do this" behind the bar. Would say well priced. Could park, also watch sports there, had a hunoungus screen, along with one of the biggest burgers I've had in my life. Nice people, recommended.

Food and drinks reasonably priced and was served promptly and hot. My issue was staff wanting to keep my bank card when I asked to set up a tab. I have never needed to leave a card and should never have to leave a card out of my sight. It obviously upset the staff member who ignored me after I asked for my card back. I paid cash! Probably won't go back.

This is a nice friendly no fuss place. The main building itself is a superb 500 year old half-timbered house. My room was in this part of the hotel. However there are also more modern annexes. The room itself was small but comfortable. The bathroom plumbing ws a little quaint, it made odd noises, but was fully functional. Breakfast was in a nice spacious dining room was a good UK standard but coffee was from a vacuum container and you had to ask the kitchen for toast. The staff was very diverse and friendly. I can recommend it.

Hotel was okay, wouldn't recommend for more than a night. The rooms don't have AC, which in this heat isn't great, instead we were left with a small fan. The room itself was a decent size however the bathroom definitely needed repairing in places; shower curtain was coming off its rungs, toilet seat broken as well as flusher. Breakfast was good, standard fry up choices with a good selection of fruit and juices as an accompaniment.
